What Makes the SureFit® Calculator the Best Choice?

SureFit® Guarantee: we guarantee the perfect size, or we’ll pay your return shipping costs if an exchange is needed. That way there’s no doubt your pet will get the perfect fit.

We highly recommend using our SureFit® Calculator as it ensures the perfect custom fit for your pet. It requires a couple measurements, but only so we can provide your pet with the very best experience.

We recognize this takes a few minutes of your time, but those minutes are worth the happiness your pet will experience once they try out their wheelchair for the first time. Our wheelchairs have already helped more than 81,000 other pets. Let’s make that 81,001!

Other companies simply have you select a wheelchair based on weight, but that often results in a poor fit. Why? A 30 lb bulldog has a very different body type from a 30 lb corgi, but those companies will provide both with the same wheelchair.

Rescues & Sanctuaries

Walkin’ Pets was started in 2001 because there was a need to preserve the health and happiness of aging, injured, and disabled pets. Since then, we have partnered with over 300 different rescue organizations and sanctuaries to get these animals that are struggling with mobility back on their paws, providing them with independence in order to keep them happy and healthy.

At Walkin’ Pets, we strive to make life easier for animals and their caretakers. We know that it can be challenging to find forever homes for animals that may have special needs, and we are here to work hand in hand with rescue organizations to ensure that the animals in your care are getting the support and tools that they need to have the highest quality of life possible.

Helen rescued 10-year-old Jupiter, who was diagnosed with heart failure, hypothyroidism, and was dealing with a prior ACL tear. Helen is passionate about providing support and a loving home for senior dogs who are in hospice care and will do anything in her power to enhance their quality of life. She noticed that Jupiter was experiencing hind leg weakness and decided to fit him for a wheelchair so that he would once again have the opportunity explore and adventure in the outdoors.

Young pup Leah was hit by a car and left on the side of the road in Tijuana, leaving her with a broken back and a shattered pelvis. She was rescued by Amazing Strays Rescue and is living her best life with foster parents Elise and Rafael in San Diego. Regarding Leah’s progress, Elise says, “She can now walk in the wheelchair, and is independent again! She uses it as if they are her own back legs!”

6-year-old chocolate lab Storm is blind, but does not let anything slow him down. Walkin’ Pets worked with Pope Memorial SPCA to connect with Storm, and outfit him with a Blind Dog Halo. He can now confidently navigate his surroundings!

Tom, the Founder of Breaking the Chains Animal Rescue (BTC), began helping animals in the conflict zones of Ukraine during the ongoing war with Russia. After leaving the British army, Tom’s passion became solely focused on areas of neglect, corruption, and abuse towards animals. Tom and his team sacrifice their lives daily for these animals, putting themselves in harm’s way. The Breaking the Chains team dodges mortars, airstrikes, and bombs daily to save these defenseless creatures.
