This wheelchair is wonderful

This wheelchair is wonderful. It is sturdy, but light and well made. It has made a world of difference for our elderly best friend who had to have his rear leg amputated earlier this year and has recently lost control of his other rear leg. The wheelchair has really been helping him to strengthen his muscles and get some independence back.

Game Changer!

The Walkin' Wheels Wheelchair has been wonderful for our family! Our dog, Bane, recently developed a degenerative spinal disease and does not have full use of his back legs. Taking him outside for walks was becoming impossible with only the use of a full-body harness so we knew we needed to find another way in order to maintain everyone's quality of life. Walkin' Wheels was recommended by a local veterinary canine rehabilitation clinic and we are so grateful! The wheelchair arrived within days of ordering and was very well packaged. We purchased the medium-large frame which comes with foam wheels which makes it so light, and getting Bane (who weighs just under 60lbs) in and out of it is pretty easy for just one person (most adults could lift the wheelchair with one hand - we've found a simple abdominal sling perfect to facilitate getting Bane in and out).The wheelchair is highly maneuverable and responsive allowing Bane to pivot and turn easily while out and about. He adjusted immediately to urinating and defecating while strapped in with no issues. He loves to go "off roading" still to sniff in the grass and does so without hesitation. Since Bane still has some purposeful movement in his hindlimbs, we don't currently use the optional stirrups provided and instead place croc-like booties on his rear paws to protect from scrapes (these were also game changing for us). We submitted photos of Bane after fitting it at home and the team at Walkin' Wheels responded very quickly with easy fit adjustments and offered to review more photos once those changes were made! Amazing customer service, they seem to really care. We highly recommend the wheelchair and cannot overstate what a positive change it has made in our lives!

Game-changer for our French Bulldog

This vest was a game-changer for our French Bulldog and his use of the wheelchair. It fits his broad chest so much better than the vest that came with the original purchase. We are still "practicing" with the wheelchair, but this is one less thing for him to adjust to.

Relief and support = a happy boy!

So far its going GREAT. The chair (his 'Wheels
as we call them) went together super easy, the quality of the design and materials is very evident. We were able to quickly and easily get it sized and adjusted just right, the quickness and ease surely helped with the anxiety of a new contraception being introduced. Our guy ... Ellsworth... was definitely a bit confused and slightly worried at first but with a little coaching and lots of treats he was able to quickly learn his wheels were here to help. Keep the first several experience short and everything seemed good so we felt comfortable venturing to the park for a full test......great success! And on the second trip to the park with his wheels we were almost back the distance we were at a year ago .....this is HUGE....and even BIGGER was how much strength he was able to maintain thru the rest of the day!!! These wheels are going to do exactly what i had hoped .... provide him the relief and support he needs to enjoy his park walks for longer!! We can't recommend this enough!
